Pre and After wax care is essential to ensure effective hair removal, minimise pain, prevent skin infections and to reduce irritation.
Proper preparation cleanses skin for better wax adhesion, while post-waxing care soothes, hydrates and prevents ingrown hairs by maintaining a clean, nourished and protected hair follicle.
Why pre-wax care matters:
Optimal adhesion - Cleanses oils,make-up, ensuring the wax grabs hair rather than skin.
Reduced pain & damage - Pre-wax care can make treatment less painful and prevent bruising, bleeding and skin lifting.
Skin preparation - Exfoliating 1-2 days prior removes dead skin cells, helping the hair come out cleanly.
Why post-wax care matters:
Preventing infections & bumps - Immediately after a wax pores are open and vulnerable to bacteria.Avoiding hot tubs, gyms and tight clothing prevents breakouts, acne and Folliculitis (red itchy bumps).
Soothing irritation - Products like Aloe Vera , special oils or antiseptic will calm, cool and reduce redness.
Preventing ingrown hairs - Regular gentle exfoliation 48 hours later removes dead skin cells that cause hairs to become trapped, ensuring smoother longer lasting results.
